A calm and supportive space where you can make sense of your feelings, thoughts, emotions and experiences

Counselling with Laura

A warm, down to earth approach that puts you first.

You’ll be valued and accepted as you are. There are no judgements here.

My experience incudes working with people who are:

  • neurodivergent

  • sight impaired

  • living with long-term health conditions

I also have personal experience of supporting a close family member through cancer. You may be facing something similar to these things, or simply looking to speak to someone who will be understanding of who you are and any needs you may have.

HOW WE CAN WORK TOGETHER

Before we start our counselling sessions, we'll have a free consultation call. This will be a chance for you to decide if you want to go ahead. It'll also allow me to assess how I might work with you going forward.

If you decide to go ahead, we'll agree a contract, which will outline how we'll work together. We'll also talk about your goals and how long you're hoping to have sessions for. You may feel that a short set of around six sessions is enough to work on your specific goal. Or you may be looking to explore more in-depth and therefore want something longer-term.

The sessions themselves will be very much led by you and what you want to talk about. I’ll help you reflect, gain insights and identify areas you may want to change. I won’t tell you what to do, but together we can explore options and empower you to make your own decisions. I can also help you with techniques to manage things such as anxiety, overthinking and emotional overwhelm.

HOW MUCH DOES COUNSELLING COST?

Each 50 minute session costs £50. If you are a trainee counsellor I reduce this to £42.

I generally recommend weekly sessions, but can also accommodate fortnightly if that suits you better.
